POLICIES, INSTITUTIONAL PRACTICES AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION/INCLUSION Studies on the different socio-economic and cultural scenarios of contemporary society and their relations with education:

1. Human Rights and Social Education: Childhood and Adolescence; Education and Violence; Social Marginality; Social Exclusion/inclusion; Children and adolescents in vulnerable situations and their families; Youth and adult education; Active methodologies and education for life.
2. Educational policies: Teacher education policies; Evaluation policies; Education and work; State, public policies and social actions; Management policies; Financing policies; Curriculum policies.
3. Special Education and School Inclusion: Schooling and guaranteeing the rights of the target public of special education; History of special education; Practices of Inclusive Education.

TEACHER EDUCATION AND DIVERSITY Study of the pedagogical relations necessary to articulate formal/non-formal education, focusing on human development and the processes of construction and access to knowledge in contexts of diversity/identity. Education of research teachers with knowledge and practices attentive to the urgent and emerging needs of contemporary society. Deepening of knowledge about the formation and work of the educator in formal and non-formal education situations.

GENDER AND SEXUALITIES, CULTURE, EDUCATION AND HEALTH Development of theoretical methodological reflections around major themes and their interfaces with Education, aiming at the articulation between the areas of research and the expansion of studies that can be carried out, presenting itself in three macros themes: Gender and Sexualities, Culture and Health.

1. Gender, Sexuality and Education: Genders, Sexualities, Masculinities and Femininities, Feminism, Violence, Alterities; Identities, Normatives, Vulnerabilities, Social Activism, Social Inequalities and Public Policies;
2. Culture and Education: Cultural Artifacts, Media in their Circulation and Consumption (TV, newspaper, magazine, internet websites, social networks, movies and video), Technologies, Arts, Labor Organization, Subjectivities and Objectivities, Transnationality, Culture and Public Policies;
3. Health and Education: Education and Health, Social Education, Health and Human Development, Health as Human Right, Popular Education in Health, Cultural Interconnection and Health, Health and Border; Social Determinants and Health, Public Health Policies.
